Chief Meteorologist Brad Nitz and Severe Weather Team 2 have recently made improvements to the "The WSBTV Weather App," Atlanta's leading weather application.
Key features of the app now include:

 <li>A new radar with 250-meter resolution, providing the highest level of accuracy available. It not only matches the radar found on other digital platforms, but also includes future radar functionality, giving users a likely path and outlook of storms.</li>
 <li>Additional alert types such as earthquakes and storm tracks, allowing users to track the location, magnitude, speed, direction, and type of storms. These new features can be accessed by tapping the "storm symbols" icon in the radar interface.</li>
 <li>FREE push alerts for over 25 alert types, covering everything from tornado warnings to winter storm warnings and tropical storm alerts.</li>
 <li>A redesigned home screen that enables users to easily access all necessary information on one tab.</li>
 <li>Locally crafted forecasts specific to the Atlanta market, created by WSB's team of expert meteorologists. Users can also identify which member of Severe Weather Team 2 crafted the local forecast. This level of local expertise is not typically available in national weather apps.</li>
 <li>Enhanced location pin functionality, allowing users to precisely mark any address or position on a map and name it according to their preference.</li>
 <li>Tablet and handset compatibility with identical features.</li>
</ul>
In addition to these updates, The WSBTV Weather App offers the following critical benefits:

 <li>Constant updates with the latest local storm and forecast information, including Severe Weather Team 2's 5-day Forecast with the "Weekend Always in View."</li>
 <li>Live Stormtracker 2HD Radar, which can be zoomed in to check weather conditions in your neighborhood or zoomed out to view radar anywhere in the country.</li>
 <li>Location-Based Storm Alerts that provide more precise alerts for the most dangerous weather threats, ensuring users receive relevant and accurate information.</li>
 <li>Current conditions, hourly and daily forecasts available for any entered location.</li>
 <li>Level 3 interactive radar, animation/loops, and visible satellite map.</li>
 <li>High-resolution satellite cloud imagery.</li>
 <li>Daily and hourly forecasts updated on an hourly basis.</li>
 <li>The ability to add and save multiple locations.</li>
 <li>Fully integrated GPS for accurate current location awareness.</li>
